A real harmonica works in a wonderfully unusual way compared to most instruments - the very same hole plays two completely different notes, depending on whether you blow air out or draw air in. This virtual harmonica recreates that exact idea with 10 holes, a Blow/Draw switch, and true-to-life note layout, so children can explore how a real harmonica actually behaves.
Playing is simple - pick Blow or Draw using the toggle switch (or the Space bar on a computer), then tap any hole to hear its note in that mode. On a computer, every hole also has its own keyboard shortcut (the number keys 1 to 9, then 0), so switching between holes quickly feels a little like typing a tune, just like a real harmonica player moving their mouth across the holes.
